Singer Paula Abdul came to Baltimore Thursday to help celebrate WE Schools, a service learning program for students, coming to city schools.

Students at City Neighbors High School gathered to welcome WE, which urges youth to participate in civic action in their community.

WE co-founder Craig Kielburger also spoke to the students about how to make a positive impact in their community through service learning.

WE Schools has been partnering and working with schools across the U.S. since 1999 and has more than 3,500 groups in its network.
