Baltimore police arrest, charge fatal shooting suspect

BALTIMORE - Baltimore police arrested a man suspected of committing a fatal shooting in May, according to a release from the department. 

Tymel Harris, 21, was taken into custody Tuesday in connection with a homicide from on May 22 in the 2800 block of Edmonson Ave. 

Harris was charged  with first- and second-degree murder, along with other assault and gun charges. 

Police identified the victim has Jerard Monroe, who was founded on May 22 suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Monroe was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. 

Detectives worked with members of the community to identify the suspect in the shooting to obtain an arrest warrant.
