Several roads close Super Bowl Sunday

BALTIMORE (WMAR) - Drivers may want to start planning alternate routes Sunday following a list of road closures released by Baltimore City Police on Friday.

Police say they are preparing for large crowds downtown during the big game and encourage fans to arrive at their destinations early.

Additional officers are expected in the Fell's Point, Canton, Inner Harbor, and Federal Hill areas.  Specialized police units, including DUI detection officers, will also be deployed.

The following roads will be closed (depending on crowd size):
  • 3000 O'Donnell St., West bound at S. Ellwood Ave.
  • 1100 S. Curley St., North bound at Dillon St.
  • 1100 S. Linwood Ave., North and South bound
  • 1000 S. Linwood Ave., at Dillon St., North and South bound
  • 2700 O'Donnell St., East bound at S. Kenwood Ave.
  • 2900 Dillon St., and 1000 S. Curley St., South bound
  • 1000 S. Decker Ave., at Dillon St., South bound
  • 1000 Potomac St., South bound at Dillon St. 
  • 700 S. Broadway, South bound at Aliceanna St.
  • 1600 Lancaster St., East bound at S. Bond St.
  • 1700 Lancaster St., West bound at S. Ann St.
  • 1600 and 1700 Thames St., East and West bound
  • Pratt St., from Paca St., to President St.
  • Fayette St., from Paca St., to President St.
  • Unit Block of E. Cross St.
  • 1000-1200 S. Charles St.
