BALTIMORE (WMAR) - Two sanitary sewer overflows happened Thursday at the Patapsco Treatment Plant.
According to the Department of Public Works, nearly 185,000 gallons of primary effluent overflowed from a clarifier tank, and approximately 3,500 gallons from the screen facility.
The Baltimore City Health Department and the the State Department of the Environment have been made aware of the overflows.
Public Works officials report that there are no problems at pumping stations or back river. Also, there is no danger to the surrounding community.
