Shortly after the judge declared a mistrial in the case of Officer William Porter, protesters began to gather outside Courthouse East, with at least one man being arrested.
Activist Kwame Rose was taken away in handcuffs by sheriff's deputies Wednesday afternoon, while deputies ordered others to leave the area.

Another protester was seen confronting deputies, telling him they had "not one clue."
Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake urged peace following the mistrial, saying in a statement that "as a unified city, we must respect the outcome of the judicial process."

Reports from the scene of Penn-North, at the center of the Baltimore riots in April, indicated the area remained quiet Wednesday afternoon.
