BALTIMORE - The police trainee shot in the head during a Baltimore City Police training practice has been "discharged" from the hospital according to Shock Trauma.
Earlier this week Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony Batts wouldn't go into specifics about the trainee's condition, but did say doctors at Shock Trauma said he was recovering quicker than expected. He is expected to have a long recovery in front of him including physical therapy.
The trainee was shot by officer William "Scott" Kern on February 12. Kern is an 18-year veteran of the police department, who was an instructor working with a group of about 50 trainees at the Rosewood Center on Rosewood Lane in Owings Mills. See the original story here .
