Police investigating second attack near Federal Hill this week

BALTIMORE, Md. - Police say they are investigating after a group of teens attacked a man walking near Federal Hill on Thursday night.

Baltimore Police say the attack happened in the 100 block of West Montgomery Street just before 9:30 p.m.  The man told police he was approached by three teens who tried to rob him. One of the teens hit him in the face with a rock and the other lunged at him with a knife.

The teens ran away after the man shouted for help.

Officers arrested one of the suspected attackers, identified as 19-year-old Sidney Joyner, and charged him with aggravated assault and robbery.

This is the second attack in the Federal Hill area in less than a week. On August 17th, a group of men robbed 24-year-old Sal Schittno  and stabbed him several times, nearly killing him.
