BALTIMORE CITY - The frigid cold over the weekend forced Special Olympics Maryland to cancel the Polar Bear Plunge for the first time ever.
Now participants will get another chance to take a dip for a great cause.
The 18th annual plunge has been rescheduled for March 8th.
It will still be at Sandy Point State Park.
Organizers say the event will be a plunge only environment with a PeeWee/Family plunge at 11:00 a.m. and open plunges at 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Parking passes will be honored from January 25th.
Food and heated changes tents will be provided to all plungers.
Locations for shuttle parking is TBD.
