UPDATE (4:22 p.m.) -- Six people were arrested in connection with an assault aboard a light rail train that was first reported Monday, according to a Maryland Transit Administration spokeswoman.
Charges are pending for six teenagers -- three boys and three girls between 13 and 14 years old -- who attacked a passenger unprovoked.
ORIGINAL -- A woman aboard a light rail train was sent to the hospital after suffering an unprovoked assault.
According to an MTA spokesperson, the assault happened around 6:20 p.m. on the light rail train near the Westport Station. One teen, who was with a larger group, attacked the woman, according to MTA. The victim ended up with bruises to her face, sought medical attention and was treated then released.
MTA police are pulling surveillance video from the train, hoping it has some clues to who the attacker is. The investigation is ongoing.
