Penn Station without power after cable malfunctions

BALTIMORE - Baltimore Gas and Electric crews were on the scene of a commercial power outage at the Baltimore Pennsylvania Station late Thursday afternoon.

According to Rachel Lighty, spokesperson for BGE, an underground cable that provides power to Penn Station was knocked out of service around 4:15 p.m.

BGE crews worked on the underground line to the train station and had power restored by 5:20 p.m.

There was no word on what caused the underground cable to malfunction.
