Baby onesies handed out to parents in an effort to promote health and safe sleep for newborns. The babies look cute in the onesies but they contain an important message for parents.

Mercy Medical Center, PNC Financial Services Group and students from Stevenson University presented samples of the onesie to two families and their infants.

The message on it reminds parents to keep the baby on his or her back to sleep and don't put anything in the crib with the baby. This decreases the chances of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

Two undergraduate students received funding from PNC to design the onesie. This is part of PNC's "Grow UP Great" commitment to early childhood education and safe sleep for infants.

Mercy's Family Childbirth and Children's Center will receive more than 3,000 onesies to hand out to parents.
