Police are looking for "Public Enemy #1" after firefighters discovered a woman's body while battling a house fire New Year's Day afternoon in East Baltimore.

Crews were dispatched to a home in the 2300 block of E. Madison Street around 2 p.m.

Firefighters discovered the body of a 61-year-old woman inside the home.  The victim was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

Another person was trapped inside the home but managed to escape, police said.

As a result of the investigation by arson and homicide detectives, officers have obtained an arrest warrant for 59-year-old Alan Floyd.

According to police, Floyd used some sort of accelerator to deliberately start the fire.

The woman's identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification, police say.

Anyone with information on Floyd's whereabouts is urged to call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
