BALTIMORE (WMAR) - An officer with the Baltimore City Police Department has been treated and released from the hospital after his gun went off during roll call.
Police say an officer's gun went off around 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Sunday evening at police headquarters.
Detectives do not know how the gun went off and say they are continuing to investigate the incident.
The officer suffered non-life threatening injuries from the shot, police say.
Detectives believe the injuries were from a powder burn or grazing.
