New globetrotter to make Baltimore debut

BALTIMORE - For 87 seasons the Harlem Globetrotters have been wowing audiences around the world. And this year, one of the newest players is from Baltimore. Baltimore-native Jonté Hall will make his home town debut this week.

"It's amazing it's a dream come true, playing in front of friends, family," Jonté Hall said. "It's a blessing."

Jonte's making history in the process; at 5-feet-2 inches, he's the shortest player in Globetrotter team history. "[They] gave me that name, of course. I'm the tallest one on the team."

"People that talk trash to me… don't let size fool you," he said.

Check out Jonté's  dunking moves in the video below.

He may be one of the pint-sized members of the Globetrotters, but Jonté's always looked up to some of basketball's small wonders. "There's Baltimore's own, Muggsy Bogues, Earl Boykins, my uncle too, Earnest Hall."

You can catch Jonté and the rest of the Harlem Globetrotters Saturday, December 29th at the 1st Mariner Arena.
