Morgan State football player died of heat stroke

BALTIMORE - The death of a Morgan State football player who died over the weekend was caused by complications of heat stroke and it was ruled accidental, according to the state. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Morgan State University director of public relations Clint Coleman said Marquese Meadow was hospitalized two weeks ago after becoming disoriented during a team workout. Meadow was apparently improving, however his condition worsened on Saturday and he died Sunday

Meadows, born May 31, 1996 in Washington, D.C., and graduated from Friendship Collegiate Academy in 2014. 

"Marquese was a great young man and a member of this family who was highly respected and loved by his teammates and coaching staff. He was an unselfish kid and had an incredibly bright future and will be deeply missed,” said Morgan State coach Lee Hull in a statement.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete as of this time.
