A special gift just in time for the cold weather.

C.H.O.I.C.E. or Community Hub for Opportunities in Construction employment gave more than 100 coats to first graders Monday.

Mark Coles, the Executive Director of C.H.O.I.C.E.,  says working in the construction business they say they know firsthand what it's like to be outside when it's cold.

"Judging by the last couple of days today and yesterday being so blustery outside, you know, my heart goes out to any person or any kid that can't afford to have a winter coat and so. This is some small way we can get back to the community," Coles said.

The group gave coats to students at Empowerment Academy, Lyndhurst and Tench Tilghman elementary schools.
