Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake is preparing to leave office after nearly seven years.
Rawlings-Blake, who decided last year not to run for re-election, was president of the Baltimore City Council when she was appointed to the job after former mayor Sheila Dixon resigned after being convicted of misconduct in office.
She said she hasn’t ruled out another run for office, though not in the near future.
Rawlings-Blake said she hopes to keep her post as the secretary for the Democratic National Convention, and she’ll appear on ABC news as an analyst. She's also joined a speakers’ bureau.
"I'm looking forward to talking about crisis management, how to lead through a crisis, issues with women in leadership, talk about the fiscal leadership and the challenges that cities face,” she told ABC2 News.
