Mayor Catherine Pugh announced her amendment to the minimum wage bill Wednesday.

The modification would lower the wage for employees who are in training.

The Baltimore City Council has already advanced a $15 minimum wage bill.

Pugh said she has to review the bill to look at the overall impact it will have on the city, before making a decision on whether to sign it.

The current minimum wage in Maryland is $8.75 an hour.
