More than 800 people had already cast their ballot in early voting at the Westside Skill Center Thursday.

Lines were packed for several polling places around Maryland as the first day of early voting got underway. For the most part, voters said they didn't mind the half hour wait.

"You need to have a say in who's running your country, and take care of your city and your state. You need to have a say in what's going on," local voter Phyllis Wilson said.

Hundreds of people filled into one polling location on Edmonson Avenue.

"If you can get out, if you can go pick up an elderly person and tell them 'lets go cast this vote so we can get these new candidates in office so we can change the world, change Baltimore, and move Baltimore forward," Stephanie Conyers said.

It's a move forward many voters agree with, no matter who they're voting for.
