The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore named its baby giraffe Willow.

The female reticulated giraffe calf was born Feb. 6 to 4-year-old Juma and 11-year-old Caesar. It was the first birth of a giraffe at the zoo in more than 20 years.

The public voted on the giraffe's name on the zoo's website. The zoo announced the winning name Thursday morning. Watch the video live on Facebook.

The zoo gave the public six name options. They include: Opal, Ruby and Willow. There's also "Dottie," because the calf has a spot in the shape of a dot above each hoof. "Safara," a name of African origin that means fire, and "Imara," which means strong in Swahili, are also contenders.
