The Maryland Book Bank aims to collect 25,000 books during “Books for Kids Day” Saturday.
The local non-profit is hosting a book drive to encourage children through the power of reading by distributing book donations to area children.
Residents can drop-off new and gently used books from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of Poly-Western High School, located on Cold Spring Lane at Falls Road.
The Maryland Book Bank has distributed more than 1.8 million books to children over the years.
