Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby gave a press conference Wednesday morning following the prosecution's decision to drop all charges against the three remaining officers in the Freddie Gray case.
Mosby said her role in the case was to seek justice for Freddie Gray and to apply the law equally for everyone, “even those that take an oath to protect and serve our communities.”
She said the decision to bring charges against the six police officers wasn't "an indictment on the entire Baltimore Police Department." Mosby also acknowledged recent backlash against her handling of the cases, saying she isn't anti-police, she's "anti-police brutality."
"Police investigating police" as friends or as colleagues "was problematic," she said, and created bias during the investigation and trials. Mosby said she stands by the medical examiner's determination that Gray's death was a homicide.
"We do not not believe that Freddie Gray killed himself."

A gag order was lifted and Mosby's press conference took place in front of the Freddie Gray mural located at Presbury and North Mount streets.
The decision by prosecutors to drop the charges comes after a judge had already acquitted three of the six officers charged in the case, including the van driver who the state considered the most responsible and another officer who was the highest-ranking of the group.
A fourth officer, Officer William Porter, had his case heard by a jury, who deadlocked and the judge declared a mistrial.
