BALTIMORE (AP) - A man has pleaded guilty to setting a liquor store on fire during the riots that rocked Baltimore last year in the wake of Freddie Gray's death after he was injured in police custody.

The U.S. Attorney's Office said in a news release that 22-year-old Darius Stewart of Baltimore pleaded guilty Monday to malicious destruction of property by fire in federal court in Baltimore.

According to his plea agreement, Stewart set three fires in the store on April 27, 2015. Prosecutors say one of the store's owners was hurt when he jumped from the second floor to escape the blaze. Firefighters rescued an unconscious person from the basement.

The plea deal calls for Stewart to get five years in prison and pay $350,000 in restitution.

Sentencing is July 21.
