Police have identified the victim of a Wednesday night shooting in northwest Baltimore as 24-year-old Trayvon Lee.

Lee was the former manager of local rapper Lor Scoota who was gunned down nearly two weeks ago, a family publicist for the rapper told ABC2.

Officers were called to the 2300 block of Anoka Avenue at approximately 7:45 p.m. Wednesday to find Lee suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body.

He was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

Lor Scoota, born Tyriece Travon Watson, was shot and killed at Harford and Moravia Roads after leaving a peace rally at Morgan State University the night of June 25.

While no suspects have been identified, police said they're "making progress in the investigation." It's not yet known whether the two incidents are related.

Police spokesperson T.J. Smith said Lor Scoota's death appears to have been a "retaliatory incident related to a violent crime that had occurred earlier." Investigators believe he may have been associated with someone who committed an earlier crime, and got caught up in "a tennis match of violence," according to Smith.

Police continue to ask the public to call or send in tips and video related to the case.

"The only way we're going to put an end to this is all of us working together," Smith said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup. Information can be sent via text to 443-902-4824 or emailed to homicidetips@baltimorepolice.org.
