BALTIMORE - Have a beer and support a worthy cause, what could be better?
Union Craft Brewing is one of dozens of breweries around the country participating in the Ales for ALS charity event. Each brewery was given a special blend of hops and made their own creation. Union Brewing came up with a dark ale they're calling "Black Eyed Saison."
"A big part of our mission here is to be part of the community," said Kevin Blodger, co-founder and brewer at Union Brewing. "So when this popped up, it was a good chance to use different hops we don't normally get to use and help out a charity."
A dollar from every pint sold of "Black Eyed Saison" will be donated to the ALS Therapy Institute. You can purchase the beer at Union Brewing's tap room and in select stores.
