Officials with the National Transportation Safety Board will be in the area for the rest of the week, looking into the cause of the MTA bus crash that killed six people Tuesday morning.

"We have just begun to gather the information on this crash," Jennifer Morrison of the NTSB said.

A crash team from the Baltimore Police department is still looking for witnesses, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call 410-396-2606.

The driver of the MTA bus, a 33-year-old woman, was among the six people killed in Tuesday morning's fatal crash. The driver of the yellow school bus, a 67-year-old man, was also killed. The school bus was headed to Dallas F. Nicholas Elementary, police said.

All six people died at the scene, Baltimore Police spokesman T.J. Smith said. There were no skid marks on the road, which led police to believe there was no slowing down, Smith said.

Other victims include a 51-year-old woman, a 46-year-old woman, a 51-year-old man and another man, who appeared to be in his early 30s, police said.

Ten other people were injured in the crash, which happened around 7 a.m. in the 3800 block of Frederick Avenue in southwest Baltimore.

Three men were injured in the crash, including one on on the MTA bus who is in critical condition. Seven women were injured, all of whom suffered minor injuries except for one on the MTA bus who is in serious condition.

Those patients range in age from 23 to 52.
