A new indictment alleges a group of men ran a murderous criminal enterprise in the Sandtown neighborhood that was responsible for 10 deaths going back to 2010.

A press conference was held at the U.S. Attorney's Office Tuesday to announce the arrests and indictment of the alleged gang members, who have been charged with drug distribution and acts of violence including murder, kidnapping, assault, robbery and witness intimidation.

One of those charged is Montana Barronette, once described by police as the city's "number one trigger puller." Barronette was mistakenly released from custody earlier this year when he was supposed to be transferred to federal custody and spent nearly two days on the loose.

An earlier indictment against Barronette and four others alleged a drug conspiracy. The new indictment includes more serious allegations.

Federal authorities said all 12 suspects are in custody except 26-year-old Roger Taylor. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the FBI tip line at 410-265-8080.
