Light rail closures to affect O's fans

BALTIMORE - Orioles fans planning to take the Light Rail to Camden Yards in the next three weeks should work some extra time into their travel plans.

The MTA announced that emergency repairs to the tracks at the Mount Washington, Cold Spring and Woodberry stations over the next three weeks will cause trains to run on a modified schedule.

During the three-week closure, Light Rail will operate on a modified schedule and trains will not travel to the Mt. Washington, Cold Spring or Woodberry stations.

Bus bridges will be in place to accommodate passengers traveling between Falls Road station and North Avenue station.  Service north of Falls Road will run with trains arriving every 15 minutes.  Service south of North Avenue will run on its regular schedule.

For updates and information on bus and train schedules, Light Rail users are urged to visit http://www.mta.maryland.gov or call the MTA Transit Information Contact Center Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 410-539-5000 or TTY 410-539-3497.
