He was nicknamed "The Greatest."

Muhammed Ali is regarded as one of the most significant and celebrated sports figures of the 20th century, and he had Parkinson's.

On Monday, Laila Ali, reflected on what it was like to have a relative with a chronic illness.

She was speaking for the American Health Information Management Association.

She talked about his great spirit, his loving ways, his caring heart and his strength, and not just in the ring. She also spoke of his fight for people and his fight through this disease.

"I think that he was an amazing advocate and just the person that could be the face of Parkinson's and hopefully help other  people that are dealing with chronic illness to be strong, have faith and still strive to live the best quality of life possible," Ali said.
