BALTIMORE - The Baltimore Police Department teamed up with Target for the third year Tuesday for their Shop with a Cop program.
As a part of the program, officers escorted a group of children by motorcade to the Mondawmin Mall Tuesday morning where the shopping spree sponsored by Target began.
Kids are chosen by their parents. They submit a form. Also, if an officer notices a needy child in the community and wants to give them a holiday gift, the Shop with a Cop program is one of the ways they can do that.
"It's great to help out the kids," said officer William Painter. "Some kids are unfortunate and can't get the things they really need."
