Edgewood Elementary teacher inspiring young girls

Edgewood teacher shows us "What's Beautiful"

Baltimore - Kaitlin McKeon Loftus played at the highest level in sports while at Loyola.  Once she graduated she became a teacher at Edgewood Elementary.  This school sits at the end of North Avenue.

Online one night, she sees a contest from Under Armour.   Its called "What's Beautiful."  It challenges young girls to become tip top shape athletes.

So Kaitlin looked at her 3rd, 4th and 5th grade girls, and said why not.  She approached her Principal who said, OK.

So every day, for 40 minutes after school she puts these girls to the test.  She has seen them grow with confidence, do better in school, and eat healthier.

Next Wednesday, "her girls" will run a mile on the track next door.  The entire school will come out to cheer.

What's Beautiful? I think we know the answer...Edgewood Elementary.
