I-95 reopened in area of Caton Avenue following crash

An accident on I-95 involving two tractor trailers closed lanes of the interstate highway at Caton Avenue Tuesday morning.

Lanes for northbound traffic were reopened around 8:20 a.m., but major delays were expected.

Ramps from I-695 in the area were also closed in the wake of the crash as fire crews were called to the scene to drain fuel from tanks. Southbound traffic is being detoured onto Caton Avenue.

The best alternate routes are I-895, I-295 or I-695 at the Key Bridge.

Officials say heavy delays into downtown Baltimore are expected as a result of the crash.
