A diaper bank in Baltimore received a huge donation Monday courtesy of Huggies.

The well-know diaper company loaded a tractor trailer with 250,000 diapers and delivered them to the ShareBaby warehouse on Chestnut Ave. in North Baltimore.

Executive Director Amina Ross says diapers are costly and can put a financial hold on low income families.

"They are not provided for through any federal safety net program, such as WIC or food stamps, so they're not getting any assistance for that need," said Ross.

In the past year, ShareBaby has distributed nearly 300,000 diapers to families in need.

ShareBaby is in the process of moving a warehouse in Clipper Mill so it can collect larger donations. The non-profit also gives out other baby essentials like clothes, strollers and bottles.
