Firefighter injured battling Gwynn Oak blaze

GWYNN OAK - Flames broke out at a Gwynn Oak business Monday morning, and one firefighter was injured while fighting the fire.

Shortly before 5:22 a.m., firefighters were called to a business in the area of Liberty Heights and Eldorado avenues, according to Baltimore City Fire Department spokesman Ian Brennan.

Firefighters at the scene told ABC2 News staff that flames were visible from outside the building when they first arrived. The fire went to a second alarm.

Crews had the fire under control by 6:30 a.m., Brennan said.

One firefighter sustained a minor injury and was taken to an area hospital for treatment, Brennan said.
