Firefighters investigate wastewater plant hazmat leak

BALTIMORE - Baltimore City firefighters are investigating a possible hazmat situation at a water treatment plant in south Baltimore.

Fire Department spokesman Ian Brennan says around 10:45  Monday morning units were called to the Patapsco Waste Water Treatment Plant in Curtis Bay for a report of a chemical leak. Several people were transported to an area hospital after smelling an unidentified chemical in the workplace.

The fire department  is working to find the cause of the leak.
