BALTIMORE - Firefighters Thursday battled a three-alarm house fire in Roland Park, officials
announced via Twitter.
The freezing cold temperatures hindered the operation. Responders discovered two fire hydrants inaccessible, a department spokesman said. There were no injuries.
The fire engulfed a single family home in the 1000 block of St. Georges Road.
A smoke alarm alerted the owners to the fire.
Firefighters were dispatched to the Roland Park neighborhood at around 4:20 p.m. for a two-alarm fire.
The status of the blaze was escalated from two to three alarms at around 5 p.m.
