BALTIMORE - Fire trucks from all across the city rushed to Fells Point Monday afternoon even though many of them are slated for closure this summer.
Right now, three different fire companies are closed on any given night; a system known as "rotating" closures. The fire chief says permanent closures would bring more stability; allowing nearby companies to cover their territory. The head of the city's firefighters union says it's a plan that puts lives in danger.
ABC2's Christian Schaffer tackles the story.
