Jordan Roche was 21, a DJ and producer who loved music and was well liked by all. On September 26, 2015, his family found out about his fatal overdose.

Tuesday, family, friends and fellow musicians put on a special benefit concert at the Sound Stage in Baltimore to honor him.

His mom Rosemary Roche said she's working hard to save someone else's child through the music he loved and a memorial fund that bares his name.

"Most of these kids when they relapse, they're alone and that was the case with Jordan," said Rosemary Roche. She continued, "most of these young people can't afford to go into sober living or outpatient or to continue their recovery so our intent is to give grants."

Jordan's friends and family said he offered so much to so many who followed his music and life--this event is letting those he left behind remember him.

"He was one of those kids that as soon as you met him you just fell in love with his talent and ability," friend Cesar Diaz said.

That talent was what he lived for. Unfortunately, his life was cut short.

"He always thought he was kind of alone and this is him, this is for him everyone loved him and it's pretty amazing, said Alex Lovullo, Jordan's sister.

Now, those that love him, just want the growing opioid and heroin addiction to get attention.

"Everyone that this affects, it's somebody's child or mother or sibling or friend and we just need attention and awareness," said Lovullo.

Rosemary Roche said she's anxious to partner with other organizations in the area to raise continue to raise awareness. She said she's proud of Jordan and the legacy he leaves behind.
