The Justice Department has found discriminatory policing practices in the Baltimore Police Department, according to a report from the Washington Post.
An official familiar with the Justice Department's investigation into whether the Baltimore police force had a pattern of violating citizens' rights told the Associated Press that the federal government is preparing to announce its findings.
Sources tell ABC2 the civil rights investigation into the department will likely be released Wednesday.
The Justice Department announced the investigation into the police department in May 2015 after the death of Freddie Gray, who was injured while in police custody, sparked rioting and unrest in the city.

"My office looks forward to reviewing the Department of Justice's civil rights investigation into the Baltimore City Police Department, but the report will likely confirm what many in our city already know or have experienced first hand," Mosby said in the statement. "While the vast majority of Baltimore City Police officers are good officers, we also know that there are bad officers and that the Department has routinely failed to oversee, train, or hold bad actors accountable."
