Three people were arrested following a "largely peaceful" vigil for slaim rapper Lor Scoota, Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis said Monday night.

Davis said some people threw rocks and bottles at police as they tried to clear the streets.

"We've been there, done that," said Davis, referring to the 2015 riots following the death of Freddie Gray.

Hundreds of people gathered on Pennsylvania Avenue, with Baltimore Police donning riot gear as they tried to get the group to disperse.

Lor Scoota, whose real name was Tyriece Travon Watson, was gunned down Saturday evening after leaving a peace rally at Morgan State University. Davis urged residents to honor Watson's life, rather than focus on the few who were responding with violence.

Video of the crowds gathering circulated on social media Monday, with some questioning the police's response.

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said on Twitter she was closely monitoring the situation.
