Crews respond to vacant house fire in Baltimore

Crews responded to a house fire in the 200 block of S. Stricker Street Monday night.

Fire officials were dispatched to the home at approximately 9:45 p.m. and arrived to find fire coming from the first floor of a two-story vacant row home.

Crews performed exterior operations only due to the conditions on the scene, according to Samuel Johnson of the Baltimore City Fire Department.

 

Dispatch Time: 9:45pmLast night units from the Baltimore City Fire Department responded to the 200 block of S. Stricker Street for the report of a house fire.When units arrived they found visible fire showing from the first floor of a two story vacant row home. Due to conditions on the scene units were instructed to perform exterior operations only.Units were able to extinguish the fire in less than 15 minutes.There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.The cause of the fire is under investigation.
