A Baltimore community joined together for a prayer walk after two separate tragedies just blocks apart rocked their corner of the city.
Last week, a 73-year-old man was stabbed to death in the area of Pulaski Highway and Highland Avenue.
Police identified Christopher Straham as 'Public Enemy No. 1.'
He was arrested days later.
Councilwoman Shannon Sneed, who represents the 13th district and was sworn in for a first term Thursday, said she believed a lack of educational and job opportunities were driving youth toward violence.
"We can say it over and over again ... but until we tackle that -- education and the opportunities for jobs -- the same thing will keep happening," said Sneed.

Tragedy struck again on Wednesday when a house fire on N. Clinton Street claimed the lives of 3-year-old Nigel Ramirez and 9-month-old Ezekial Ramirez.
Two older children were able to escape the flames. Their father, Luis Ramirez, was too shook up to speak to assembled media.

Friday a group gathered to pray and follow the path between the two locations to show solidarity and let the city know that those who are gone will not be forgotten.
