Columbine-inspired anti-bullying program at St. Margaret School

BEL AIR, Md. - St. Margaret School in Bel Air kicked off it's new anti-bullying program, called "Rachel's Challenge", this afternoon.

The program is named for Rachel Scott.  SHe was the first person killed at Columbine High School in Colorado back in 1999.

The kick-off was held in two sessions, a one-hour presentation to motivate students to treat eachother kindly, and a second presentation in the evening for parents and members of the community.

But the program will go far beyond the presentations.

The school will carry-out a year-long curriculum designed to make positive behavior among students a chain reaction.

The curriculum is loosely based on the contents of Rachel's six diaries, detailing several acts of kindness and compassion carried out by her during her short life.
