The Baltimore City Council will introduce a measure focused on crude oil terminals in the City.

Right now, there are two crude oil terminals on the Fairfield Peninsula and in Canton.

The legislation focuses on facilities that receive, store, transfer, ship or process crude oil.

Councilmembers Mary Pat Clarke and Edward Reisinger sponsor the bill.

Last year, a CSX train derailed in the Howard Street Tunnel and one of those cars contained a highly flammable substance.
