The excitement from Thursday's Congressional Address by the Pope carried over to Catholic schools across the Baltimore area.

Students at Baltimore's Institute of Notre Dame (IND) gathered in the school's auditorium to hear the Pope's address to Congress.

The students at IND say during the Pontiff's trip to Washington D.C., he lived up to his nickname as "The People's Pope."

"I think Pope Francis does a really good job of connecting with the common people," says Marlette Sandoval, a Senior at IND. "He really has a message of going out and helping the community and his message is one of love."

"Even if you're not Catholic, you can still relate to it, and what the Pope is talking about, it still applies to you," says Nia Vick, also a senior at IND.
