Spring and summer are popular times to update or create online dating profiles. That's followed by more first dates, with people you don't know. It's a risk that can lead to dangerous situations.
But there's a new way bars across the nation and the world are working to keep you safer on those dates.
"We get a lot, it's funny of those eHarmony type things in here, the lunch dates and you can pick them out," Mt. Washington Tavern bartender, Jimmy Ernest said.
You may have heard of the angel shot trend, it's all over social media it's a way for your to alert your bartender or waitress that you're in trouble while out on a date and Mt. Washington Tavern is going to start doing something just like that.

"I think it's fantastic Washington and New York are all doing it," said Ernest. "This is a really good way to stop it because once the alcohol is in there it's a little harder to make judgments."
The angel shot is said to have started in a Florida bar. Recently, a Hooters in South Africa got on board. Angel shot is just one code of sorts that patrons can use to alert their bartender of trouble or concern over the person their with.
"I think it's a great idea it's something that I've never really thought about but it's something that I'm like wow, that actually makes sense because I think we've all been out where sometimes where maybe the date isn't going as well," said Dominique Broadway.
It's a challenge to keep the code a secret, so it's suggested that bars come up with a unique one and change it often, only posting it in ladies' restrooms.
"For them to take it to the next step and put that on the back of the stall where I know I can ask for someone at a specific name and alert them that's really cool and at the same time, I think all bars should have that," Angel Rich said.
