The Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower clock will receive new hands Monday.

The hands were removed in October 2015 by Balzer Family Clock Works, a Freeport, Maine-based company that specializes in tower clock restoration.

A failed motor rendered the hands immobile.

Crews will work from inside the building and on a swing-stage scaffold outside to reinstall the hands. They're scheduled to go back on the clock at noon Monday, and will be powered by a pendulum and gravity.

The Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts manages the city-owned tower.

Tower renovation, including the addition of studio spaces for artists, are expected to be complete by the summer.
