Broken tree limb narrowly misses cars in Baltimore

BALTIMORE - A snapped tree limb narrowly missed smashing two cars parked in Baltimore, just one of the close calls caused by a severe storm that swept across Maryland Tuesday night.

The branch fell at Maryland Avenue at about 8 p.m., according to Janis Girven, a resident of the nearby apartment complex.

The branch came about 8-inches from smashing into the back of a Honda Accord and the hood of a white Suzuki hatchback.

Police blocked off the intersection with road flares.
