Blood drive held to honor injured Baltimore officer

Last month Sgt. Keith McNeill was injured in a shooting that left him fighting for his life.

The 19-year Baltimore Police Department veteran remained in critical condition as of last week last week with the prospect of additional surgeries before him. In his honor, McNeill’s fellow officers are holding a blood drive.

The Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #3 is sponsoring the blood drive to help save more lives.

The drive is set for 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 2 at the FOP Hall, located at 3920 Buena Vista Ave.

Gregg Thomas , 34, is charged with attempted murder in connection with the shooting.
