BALTIMORE - The New Year means we can start fresh, with football or otherwise.
And what better way to kick off 2014, then with a big fireworks display? It's the tradition here in Charm City.
The barges are already being loaded for this year's spectacular display. But this year there is a new twist to make the show even better.
"This is the first year the company we're using is Image Engineering and their idea was to add the laser show; something to give the show a little extra kick," said Mitch Case of the Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts. "There will be a laser countdown on a couple local buildings. We've got the largest fireworks display in the region so this is just the icing on top."
In all, 50,000 people are expected downtown for the festivities. The fireworks show kicks off right at midnight to ring in the New Year.
